The Chiller’s Newest Rink Facility
As participation in hockey and skating continues to grow, The Chiller, LLC built Chiller North to address an increasing need for more ice and to reach out to new communities and families with outstanding recreational pro-grams.
Rodgers, Inc. acted as the construction man-ager (in a joint venture) on this 85,000 square foot facility.
The Chiller North features two NHL regulation ice rinks, 10 dressing rooms, a Blue Jackets Zone Pro Shop, snack bar and kitchen and seating for 1,000 spectators.
Chiller North will be home to Olentangy High School and Thomas Worthington High School hockey teams and various youth and adult leagues.
Completed on time and under budget.

OHIO HEALTH CHILLER ICE RINKS ANNOUNCE EXPANSION PLANS FOR CHILLER NORTH
COLUMBUS, OHIO – With demand for ice at unprecedented levels in Central Ohio, the OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks and JMAC, Inc., parent company of the Chillers and National Hockey League’s Columbus Blue Jackets, are excited to announce expansion plans to add a third ice sheet at Chiller North, located in Lewis Center. Construction will begin soon with the goal of opening the new ice surface in December 2018.
